Steam engines have always fascinated me, and I enjoy the challenge of creating an interesting picture. It's too easy to go and take a picture of one in a station, and to be frank, I'm not actually bothered about what type of engine it is, or what livery it is in or any of that nonsense. I enjoy the noise, smell and drama of steam, the anticipation of the arrival and pressing the button at the right time, capturing the atmospheric drama of 100 tons of mechanical engineering at speed!
