Industrial Landscape and Urban Exploration Portfolio
Location: ROF Wrexham
Date: July2010

Tucked away in a field in a corner of the modern Wrexham Industrial Estate, and hidden amongst the nettles and brambles are the long disused remains of ROF Wrexham, a cordite manufacturing factory built for use in WW2. It employed thousands of people during the war, but as soon as peace returned, it closed and was abandoned.

Most of the vast site has been cleared or returned to agricultural use, but if you look in the right places, brick and concrete structures can be found amongst the undergrowth.
