Photo comment By john turner: I think the sight is very informative my father worked at whitfield , and snyd back in the war years as a miner on the coal face, i made a visite to smallthorne where i was born, i went to find whitfield colliery to take some photos but sadly could not find the old entrance, may be one day befor it is taken down regards john
