Industrial Landscape

Growing up in an old mill town in the North of England, I was surrounded by the legacies of the industrial past. I later studied manufacturing engineering in the West Midlands, surrounded by metal bashing enterprises of all shapes and sizes, and since then my day job in industry has taken me all over the world, always staying one or two steps ahead of redundancies and factory closures.

My photography is a mix of documentation and interpretation. Some of the images are 'straight' photographs, with minimum post processing, others are heavily processed (but not manipulated in anyway) in Photoshop to give a more impressionistic or interpretative picture of what I saw and felt when I was taking the photographs.
