Griffe Mill Re-Visit

Date Visited: January 2009
On my first visit, I couldn't get inside the mill due to it being heavily overgrown and because of what sounded like an enormous bee or wasp nest. Every time I got near, the sound of the buzzing got louder and louder, so I called it a day and vowed to return in winter.
Later that year, in between Christmas and New Year, I ventured out on a freezing cold day to have another look. Despite it being a generally dry winter, there was a little snow on the ground, but more importantly, the woodland that had grown in the mill had mostly been cleared and there was no sign of any bees or wasps.
