Hartford Mill

Oldham once had over 360 cotton mills, but like all the mill towns, this number has decreased significantly since the peak in the early 20th century.
Built in 1907, Hartford Mill produced cotton until 1959, after which it was taken over by Littlewoods for warehousing and distribution. They moved out in the early 90's and it's been disused ever since, and although Grade 2 listed, it had been allowed to fall into total disrepair and was a complete ruin.
