By Jim: Cranes built by Wharton, in Stockport. 50 ton main lift, 7 ton aux lift. Having survived as long as they did, and after the years of hard work they put in; they were unceremoniously pushed off the remaining bit of track, after the rest of the building had been demolished, by a 30t excavator -- mid-2017 -- and cut up where they dropped. They did not go easily, though. They resisted the demolition shear, and eventually had to be gas axed.
