By Len Greenwood: I worked in ROF Chorley late 80's/early 90's and was surprised to see it demolished and built upon.
There was at least two fascinating old buildings within the site, Buckshaw [was that hall or barn] and damnation, I forget the other one's name sorry.
There was a couple of small owls that stood atop the lamp post just as you reached ground level coming into the site from the railway bridge :-)
