Photo comment By DIANA: I have just been speaking to a friend of the family who started as an apprentice at that this site in 1982. We had a really interesting chat - he remembers many of the older chaps that used to work there, and shared some of the stories with us. We all agreed what a fantastic tourist attraction the site would make, especially if under cover!
